Profile:



Demonstrated excellence and leadership throughout academic career from elementary school throughout college.  Voted "Most Intelligent" of 1991 senior class at Geraldine High School.  Graduated with honors from Jacksonville State University.

Taught Physical Science to primarily 9th graders at Etowah High School in Attalla, AL for one school year (1997-98).  Developed and implemented lesson plans which were tailored to various learning styles.  Led basic lab sessions that promoted "hands on" discovery of scientific and mathematical principles.  Utilized classroom technologies such as computers, audio visual equipment (computer with projector, video laser disc with projector, VCR, overhead projector, etc), Scantron test grading system, and various scientific devices (such as a Van de Graaff generator, scientific measuring scales, Geiger counter, etc.)  Created an energized environment conducive to learning by integrating various teaching methods. 

 

Taught summer school at Gadsden City Schools (June 1998).  Prepared lesson plans for the various educational needs in science for the students.  Designed and implemented a corn growing experiment measuring the growth rate of the corn seedlings.
